Functional training

Functional training is a form of exercise that mimics and develops everyday movements such as pulling, pushing, squatting, climbing, jumping, balancing, running, and turning.
The goal is not to strengthen isolated muscle groups, but rather to improve the coordinated, harmonious functioning of the entire body.
For children, functional training is playful and varied: it often includes climbing, obstacle courses, balance exercises, ball games, the use of resistance bands and partnered exercises.
This type of movement:
- helps develop body awareness,
- improves strength, coordination, and flexibility,
- all in a motivating and positive training atmosphere.
Functional training provides a great foundation for a healthy, active lifestyle, and even serves as excellent preparation for other sports.
We created our new facility specifically for functional training. Its main structural elements include:
- a climbing frame
- a wall bar (Sweedish ladder)
- a peg board
The combination of these structures allows us to utilize the space length- and crosswise, enabling a wide variety of exercises.
Our sessions are further enriched by a diverse selection of equipment:
- TRX suspension ropes
- resistance speed trainer
- functional ladders
- mini hurdles and obstacles
- light weights, medicine balls, soft balls
- resistance bands
- tatami mats for floor exercises
These, combined with the expert guidance of our instructors ensure that movement remains fun, engaging, and varied.
Exercises support:
- strength development
- improved coordination and balance
- building conscious movement patterns
- preparing children for a more active lifestyle
Safety is ensured by a non-slip, shock-absorbing rubber floor, which reduces the the impact of occasional falls.
IMPORTANT! Training in this room is only allowed in clean-soled indoor sneakers – please make sure your child comes prepared!
